Promotions and Special Events Intern (A Day In The Country, Family Fair, Bark in the Park, Miami Valley Chili Classic)
Looking for someone that is desiring a future in Promotions or Marketing. A detailed and creative individual that will take responsibilities and run with them.
Time frame:
Summer =June – August or September
Fall= September-November
Winter = January - March Monday – Friday (flexible days and hours)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in phases of producing station special events
- Write and prepare press releases
- Recap events and promotions
- Update media contact list
- Assist in preparation and execution of station promotions
- Database promotion and entry
- Brainstorming promotions for 4 radio stations

Programming Intern:
The opportunities will include:
- Control room and master control board operation

Sales Intern:
Looking for an intern who wants to learn the dynamics of a fast paced media sales office. Opportunity to learn all aspects of sales! The intern would shadow sales people, help pull up info and write proposals and help with radio sales promotions. If you pay attention to detail, and enjoy a challenge. This internship will prepare you for almost any sales position where time management, prioritizing and good communication both written and verbal are a necessity. This is a fun, fast paced, environment where you can gain real life experience using your newly acquired skills and learn new ones that are not taught in text books.
Production Intern:
Have the opportunity to learn about writing recording, producing and dubbing commercials, working with clients and salespeople while using Cox Radio-Dayton's automation system! Also the opportunity to learn on-air commercial procedures, clerical procedures, and other areas of Production and Traffic. Familiarity with Adobe Audition/Cool Edit or other computer audio editing programs recommended.
