Another Cop Involved In A Shooting

DAYTON, Ohio -- Another shooting in Dayton involving a police officer.

It happened Wednesday night on Edwin C. Moses Blvd. as undercover officers tried to make a controlled drug buy. When they attempted to make the arrest, the four men in the car tried to take off. Their car hit two detectives and they fired their weapons. One suspect was hit by bullets and taken to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries. Two other suspects were taken into custody. The two officers were treated at the hosptial and released, but one may need surgery. The incident is being investigated by homicide and internal affairs.

On May 6, Dayton police Officer Christopher Cornwell shot and killed Larry Labensky of Kettering after a chase that ended in Harrison Township.
