DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton School District is looking for a new leader.
Superintendent Dr. Percy Mack is leaving Dayton for a job with a school in Columbia, South Carolina. Mack's last day on the job is July 1st.
Mack became superintendent of Dayton Public Schools since 2002. His many accomplishments include moving the district from academic emergency status to continuous improvement status in just four years.
Dayton school board President Yvonne Isaacs told the Dayton Daily News that she was happy for Mack but sad for herself and for Dayton.
